slurry: a clear sensation of fine abrasion, typical sound of "sharpening steel" Slurry turns gray after a few strokes.

Touch-up hone, use with water: capable of reclaiming slightly dulling edges. 60 -100 laps depending on edge condition.
Extra remark: at a width 3.5 cm this hone is easy going for blades with a smile and slight warp, while still alowing for a steady X-stroke.
