Begone, cursed strops! My, but those are very pretty. Somebody kindly snag them from eBay before I do. How very generous of you, too, Torolf.

WOW!!!! (Look Robin, I'm using multiple exclamation marks...

How jerkily would it be for associates to bid on our own fund-raiser?

Then the light shone, trumpets sounded and I got to the other side, where men shave with smiles on their faces, razors pop hairs, and a continuous choir singing «~~Keen and Smooth~~» is heard everywhere. (Matt)

I think it would be pretty understandable, giving that those strops look amazing!!

A while a go, the good doctor Ralfson sent me a beautiful custom made badger brush. Since I already use and love my silvertip Semogue #730 that my wife gave me for Christmas 2 years ago, I consulted Ralfson with the question if I could donate his brush to the fund raiser.
It's a small pure badger knot, put into a stunning olive handle finished with a brass ring.

I also contacted Torben, who sent me a rescaled razor in spalted Pecan (if I'm not mistaken). It was one of his learning projects, tutored by our very Ray, who also delivered the materials for the job. Learning project are not, the results turned out very well indeed. Also this razor, which is really a fruit of Coticule.be, I would like to donate to the fund-raiser.

A few days ago, I found this piece in my letterbox, donated by Wim (Decraew). It's a 9/8" full hollow blade. A rare piece from the era when the town Gembloux had in Belgium a similar status for cutlery fabrication as Solingen in Germany and Thiers in France.
Wim did most of the cleaning up, it caries some markings of its age, but it's still a beautiful piece.

I will go through my stuff and submit a few more items later on.
Thanks for watching, and a big thanks to Wim, Torben and Ralfson,
Bart.

Didn't have time to take any photos, but Ralfy, you can expect a package on Monday with a Semogue 1305 and an Aloxite razor hone which may be of special interest to the UK contingent being as it was made in Manchester.

I did like the 1305. Great brush. But strangely, I like my 2000 better. And I thought I liked smaller brushes!!!
I'm giving my badger brush another go now too, so the 1305 sees no use here now. Off to a better home for a great cause. I do hope this fundraiser kicks ass!!!
Oh. By the way. That barber hone has been lapped, and is ready to go. Figured you might need that for the listing.
