Robin,
You do not stop amazing me with your diplomatic proficiency! Even Mohamed El Baradei could learn from you ;) ;)
And I think you made a good point with your last statement.

That is a very fine, thorough report!
Thanks a lot for putting in the time & effort guys!

I've actually come to use my BBW more & more.
I don't know if mine is particularly fast, but if I set a decent bevel with either coticule
or synthetic ~1K, it actually comes to near-shave ready edge(state right before finisher of choice)
faster then the coticule does (La Grise)

And it takes only 4 or 5 dilutions.
Coti takes 7-10 perhaps.

I actually think you will have a very hard time to find a better hone for that price.
After all, you can buy a huge slab for under €50!

And the tactile feedback resembles the lovely feedback of a coticule!

I really hope this report puts the BBW up there in the spotlight were it deserves to be :)

May I ask?

I am very delighted after carefully reading the whole report. Since the data are published with the report, is it possible for me to get the same in a digital version as a csv, excel, or pretty much any standard format?

I'll bring back here whatever I find from my look at the data.

Thanks.

Then the light shone, trumpets sounded and I got to the other side, where men shave with smiles on their faces, razors pop hairs, and a continuous choir singing «~~Keen and Smooth~~» is heard everywhere. (Matt)

I am of the impression that micro-detailing of the correspondence of characteristics to qualities can be a rabbit hole, but I would like to see them anyway...:) Who doesn't like pictures?

For $50, I can make a chip in one for you.

Well, I needed a combination Coticule of narrow thickness, to keep the postage costs down. This one was available. But it's kind of metaphoric that the BBW side had a chip. Who would care about a chip in the unimportant blue backing of a celebrated La Veinette? But that blue backing didn't do so bad in our test shaves, did it? :)

Best regards,
Bart.
