Chaps,
In the spirit of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), this site should have an RSS feed, so that users who run their own websites can display that feed, thus giving Coticule.be more coverage. Search engines love that.

Done.
Please let me know, if it functions as it should.
I'm nearly illiterate when it comes to this kind of stuff.
Kind regards,
Bart.

Then the light shone, trumpets sounded and I got to the other side, where men shave with smiles on their faces, razors pop hairs, and a continuous choir singing «~~Keen and Smooth~~» is heard everywhere. (Matt)

Well, get yourself a proper admin then
Anyhow, yes, it works (see bottom of http://cutthroat.templeofhate.com/index.php?q=gallery). But the link to the feed should also be in the header of the site, so that browsers like Firefox can pick it up.
Thanks
Robin

I haven't managed to convince him yet.

Done. I think.

I've added "<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="http://www.coticule.be/Cafeteria0.xml" />" to the <HEAD> section of the Cafeteria pages. Is that what you meant?
Thank you Robin,
Bart.

Using Firefox? See the orange radio thingy in the URL bar? You did it! Good stuff. The summarizeFeeds extension looks useful, too. After all, this isn't a high traffic site.
Next in line: proper file names. Googles likes http://site.org/the-cafeteria/date-title-nid.html or something like that.

Best wishes,
Robin

Yes, I see it. It even works.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure it can be easily done. I'll have to post a ticket in the Contao (they changed the name from "Typolight" to "Contao") helpdesk system, and see if someone comes up with an easy method for getting meaningful file names.
Kind regards,
Bart.

I think there is something like pathauto for Drupal available for what your CMS's current name is. But, as I said, google would love it.

Just upgraded from IE6 to IE8 (no derisive catcall please).
How to make entire posts visible in the feed?
Other forums I've subscribed to display entire posts.

I really haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about

Sorry, this RSS thing mostly escapes me.
Bart.

It's probably something with the feed settings but I've just started to use RSS and have no idea where to look for them.

It's all Bart's fault, not yours. Bart, check for one RSS_default template. AFAICS, that's where this setting is made. The "Auto News" extension looks useful, too.
