From the Eurostar FAQ:
iconQuote:
What items are not allowed to be taken on Eurostar?

A. Sharp objects such as knives, firearms, dangerous chemicals and flammable substances are not allowed on Eurostar. Passengers travelling with more than the two items of luggage plus one piece of hand luggage, or when travelling with bicycles, sporting weapons and large musical instruments, are advised to use the registered baggage service.

Kind regards,
Bart.
Then the light shone, trumpets sounded and I got to the other side, where men shave with smiles on their faces, razors pop hairs, and a continuous choir singing «~~Keen and Smooth~~» is heard everywhere. (Matt)

might be taking a chance taking a razor then, as they could see that as a weapon in disguise.i may risk bringing one of my cheaper razors.

Don't worry about razors. Dull razors will be plenty available. :)

Kind regards,
Bart.

Dear friends,

Unfortunately I can't be in Belgium in September. Neither I have enough cash, nor time. I don't even hang out here as often as I did, as some of you might have noticed. Sorry folks, and especially apologies for Bart, if that makes you disappointed :/

kind regards,
Matt

No, if I was going to allow myself disappointment over cancellations, I would not have organized this Coticule weekend. I have experience enough with these kind of ventures to know that the initial enthusiasm for participation it always much greater than the eventual number of actual participants.

I don't know for sure, Gary. Before this week, I had counted 11 names, but with the current wave of cancellations, we're down to:

Yourself, Torolf (TM280], Stijn [Geruchtenmoaker], Rico[Bluedun], Maro and his wife/girlfriend, Kris and myself.
That's 8 persons, but it is still possible to join.

Kind regards,
Bart.

...Maro and his wife/girlfriend...

Still a girlfriend. :)
I hope you've sent me your account number. I can't check it right now as I don't have access to my mailbox.
I'm currently near Bodrum (Turkey), finishing 2 weeks holiday this Sunday and reading the forum via mobile (that's why I don't read all the threads, as I used to). Today we've visited St. Peter's castle erected by Joannites in XIV century. I saw there a razor from Bronze Age found on a ship discovered at a bottom of a Mediterranean Sea in 70'. I've taken a picture but I'm affraid it's not perfect (Matis would tell me off for it probably). ;)

No, I actually forgot about all about it. I will do that in a minute, but if you're not able to wire the money from Turkey, don't worry about it. Since it's my fault that you were not able to make the payment, you're welcome without paying the advance. I decided on an advance payment just to make sure that not to many guys would back out. If I had rented a van for the the transport of 12 and 6 back out, it would be twice as expensive for the remaining people.

Kind regards,
Bart.

I didn't take my laptop with me here, so I'll wire money to you on Monday.

I visited Ardennes today to arrange the details for the weekend.
Yes, you need to fly to Brussels International. Maybe you might be able to find cheaper flights to Brussels South (Charleroi), because several low cost companies use that airport. Both are viable options. Whatever you do, I'll inform you how to get where you need to be. If you arrive on Friday, we'll meet in Brussels, as I explained in a previous post. Should you come on Thursday, I will pick you up in Mechelen Railway Station, as we agreed earlier.

Once everyone is gathered in Brussels on Friday, the plan is to all travel together in a small van.
On Sunday, we can drop you off at the airport, around noon (or later, but not sooner).
