The idea of fundraising is most welcome. But why sell the items on Egay and not in this sites marketplace? Payment for the goods should offcourse go directly to Bart..
Im sure there are some very good reasons for choosing Egay, I just dont get it but I`m dumb as a piece of cardboard lol

Will check if I got anything of interrest but most of the surplus items have been given away..

Would anyone perhaps be interrested in my wifes -used- trousers? :scared:

I am also newbie  - so I think to participate in eBay auctions or MarketPlace.

But why not a direct donation?

Or we could bid for dedicated pictures of our dear Bart:lol:

I'd buy one. If only as a reminder of why I should go to bed earlier. ;)

I like this idea a lot. Is it possible to just donate a small sum via PayPal? I figure small donations made by a lot of members will move faster than eBay auctions and BST sales; however, those ideas are great as well.

Bart, what do you mean by Revisor's finest steel? Do they have steel grades for their razors? If you have the time, could you post a picture of the razors?

Also, I hope your SEM guy knows what he is doing. My SEM professor has mentioned in class that not many people who use SEM's don't know how to operate them that well. That said, I am excited to see those images.

Again, I have to say this is a very, very nice idea.

Yeah, I'll try to bid something, or I'll eventually paypal some money to Bart, it should not be a problem I believe?

cheers,
Matt

Why sell the items on Egay and not in this sites marketplace?

Ebay has the functionality to auction goods. Highest bidder wins.
And putting the items on Ebay we can sell worldwide, not only to 500 Coticule.be members.

No, we're not going to beg for money. If you want to support financially, please place a good bid on one or more of of the items, once we've put them up.

Kind regards,
Bart.

Excuse me??? It's not not about begging at all... So what if someone is willing to and can donate, say, only €10 but he's not able to do so, because all items would sell higher than that? You don't care then?

I don't think such a stance is necessary... Or I don't exactly understand it, is this the pride kicking in, or what? People just offer support in here...

regards,
Matt

I must say I agree totally Matt, I don't see any one begging? And don't fell like I am begging? Even if I was shouting off the roof tops about our fund raiser

In for a penny in for a pound As we say over here in Englishland...lol

Respectfully yours

I'd gladly contribute 20-30USD to the test razors or running the site. I would've before this thread, in fact.

Rest assured, there will be items on sale for only a few bucks, and there will be stuff that goes for more than that.

I don't have time for a debate about this. If you can't agree with the premises, that's perfectly fine. I would hate it if anyone felt obliged to take part in this fund raising activity.

Next year we'll bake waffles if you like that better. (I'm only partially joking)

Don't send flowers and don't send money.

Bart.
